Scale
- 1-2 Apples, Sliced
- 8-12 oz Soy Milk (or any non-dairy milk)
- 1-2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup or Agave, Optional
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1/4-1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, to taste
- 1/2 cup Ice Cubes
Instructions
- Slice the Apples: If you do not have a high-powered blender, make sure to peel your apples before blending them. Otherwise, slice your apples into medium slices.
- Add To Blender: Add your apple slices, soy milk, maple syrup, protein powder, cinnamon, and ice cubes to the blender. Blend for at least 30 seconds
- Serve: Add to a glass and enjoy! Sprinkle additional cinnamon on top if desired.
Notes
- Note 1: Use sweet or tart apples, either will work, it just depends on your preference. You could even do one of each for a flavor explosion! If you're doing two, pick small apples or use half (or you'll wind up with a lot of shake, which isn't necessarily a bad thing!
- Note 2: Don't have a strong enough blender? We've made this recipe with 8 oz unsweetened applesauce cups. Not as good as fresh, but if you have it around the house it will work in a pinch!
- Note 3: We prefer to buy shelf stable unsweetened soy milk and we buy it by the case pretty much because it's super high in protein, only 2 ingredients (organic non-GMO soybeans and water).
- Note 4: The amount you'll use will be based on how sweet your protein power is. The one we use has very little sugar but yours may be very different!
